Timeless Passion for the Town of Clinton.

John Kashwick has a passion for growth in Clinton…Literally!

He is chair of Clinton’s Shade Tree Commission, helping to maintain the healthy growth of our many cherry, ash, maple, oak and sycamores, benefiting Clinton both environmentally and economically.

He is gives so much of his volunteer time as a member of the town’s Environmental Commission, and as the Vice Chair of the Sierra Club’s New Jersey Chapter, tapping into his master’s degree in environmental management and love of nature. 

Public service and caring for the community are nothing new to John.  Before settling in Clinton, he served for eleven years as a councilman and member of the Shade Tree Commission in Bergen County’s Closter Borough. 

“It’s a way of meeting neighbors, giving back to your community and doing something that makes a difference,” said Kashwick. “I always enjoyed the atmosphere of the town and having so much open space and farmlands close by.”

If elected to Clinton Town Council, John will bring his vast leadership and management skills to build a more vibrant active seniors community, to increase safe walking zones for our children and families, to support the post-pandemic growth of Clinton’s businesses, and to protect the town’s precious green spaces and waterways for future generations.
